µTorrent is the leading software for downloading torrents. You can download huge files at high speed. Torrent uses p2p communication protocol. There are many websites which allows you to download torrents most of them are 100% free. Free sites places ads on their site for their earning. As µTorrent client is also free so it also supports ads but it can be annoying to have ads on your desktop apps. Luckily you can get rid of µTorrent ads. It has a built-in solution, you just have to tweak with settings. Just follow the steps given below to disable µTorrent ads.
Step 1: Open µTorrent window. You can start it from system tray, desktop shortcut or via start menu.
Step 2: Select Preferences from Options menu or press Ctrl+P from your keyboard. A new window Preferences will open.
Below you will find a list of options. That's the thing you need to modify. Now search for the following and disable them:
- offers.left_rail_offer_enabled or left_rail_offer
- gui.show_plus_upsell
- offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled or sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled
- bt.enable_pulse
- gui.show_notorrents_node
Step 4: Press OK to apply changes.
Step 5: Exit the application and Launch again or Restart the system.
